It is a modern but competitive world.
Everything you see on the Internet is as a result of web marketing. Everything you see on the first pages of Google’s search results or frequent Social media interaction is the result of good web marketing.
The important thing to take away from the above sentence is the obvious underlying message. Web marketing has more than one face. There are many ways in which to achieve successful web marketing. With that said web marketing can take on a conglomeration of different processes and turned into a marketing strategy.
Your specific web marketing strategy will depend on the competitiveness of your business, your product/service and ultimately your budget. You would also need to consider how quickly you want to start gaining leads and possible new business, how much of your business comes from the Internet and whether or not you want to utilise social media and if it will be helpful.
I know, I know, none of that makes sense. Allow me to explain.
Web marketing ultimately starts with a website. It is your business premises on the Internet. The place people come to see your products or services; displayed eloquently on your metaphorical shelves under the services/products button on the drop down menu.
The only problem is that the Internet is a business district and everyone is fighting for the foot traffic constantly perusing all the competition. The trick is to get foot traffic to come specifically to your shop. To do that you need to be visible; more so than your competitor.
How do you do that? Well, we have a selection of marketing solutions available to help your business become visible and gain foot traffic.

Getting a website does not automatically make you appear on the first pages of Google or above your competitor; to achieve that you need SEO.
Search Engine Optimisation is done on your content so that when someone types a related search phrase into a search engine, your business website will feature on the first pages of the search results.
If you would like people shuttled directly to your metaphorical business premises, as opposed to making people first look for you, you can try Adwords.
Adwords are not that different to SEO. You pay Google for ad space. You create an ad and bid on a search phrase and your ad is placed according to Google’s ranking.
If you would like to advertise on other platforms you would need to consider affiliate marketing.
Affiliate marketing is when you market on other platforms such as Facebook or Gumtree. You can create adverts and market it on some of our most recognised social media marketing platforms. This form of marketing gives you a direct line of access to people. This means you will constantly have people walking past your business premises.
If you would like to stay current and attract people to your business premises by doing so, content creation is a great tool to achieve this. Constant content updates are a great way to show people you are current and present.
So there you have it. That is what web marketing is and how to achieve it. When deciding on a company to do your marketing, consider, too, where they, themselves, rank on the Google pages. With that in mind and worth mentioning, we are the only South African web design company to feature first on Google’s search results.
